The RSD system ships with a standard hitch pin. This is the upgrade.
The threaded locking hitch pin draws the rack tight against your hitch receiver, eliminating the play that causes wobble at speed. A keyed lock prevents the rack from being removed without your key — simple theft deterrent for when you're away from the vehicle.
If you've ever tightened a standard pin and still felt movement in the receiver, this is the fix. It's the single biggest improvement you can make to how the rack feels on the road.
Fits most standard 2" Class III or higher hitch receiver (not compatible with Rivian R1S/R1T hitch, for example). Compatible with all RSD rack models.
